During the
entertainment some of the students did some performing where they danced, sang,
and did some poem. According to Tricia Nkosi the event organiser the event was
not for fundraising only, but it was hosted as a little platform where students
are given a chance to showcase their talents, express themselves and to release
some academic stress. “I hope the movie night will become a success so that we
can be able to buy paint, snacks, and food for Livuyo orphanage,” said Miss
Nkosi before the night started.
After the event students
showed to have enjoyed the experience, "This has been a good night for me
because I was able to forget about my academics for a second and enjoy myself
because it has been a tough week for some of us student since we are busy with
examinations" said Miss Pearl Shongwe one of the attendants.
Some of the beauty
contestants were participating during the event for students to notice them so that
they will know who to vote for during the contest. “I really feel overwhelmed,
am so excited about this because it is the first time since I have ever done
something for myself. Throughout my whole life these past few years I’ve always
put people first and forgot about doing something for myself” said one of the contestants
Nokubonga Mndebele.
